This was a very lucky photograph as I was in my car and happen to see the Red Shouldered Hawk in a tree next to the road. I pulled up the car near the bird and photographed the bird. Otherwise, the only other times I've seen Red Shouldered Hawks was when they were flying in the sky and I wouldn't have the same opportunity as this photograph.
