The cat boats at the Ayer’s Pond Marina are getting ready to sail for the season.
The cat boats are a great sailing boat on Cape Cod because of their shallow draft and easily retractable center keel. This allows the boat to sail in very shallow water (18” draft) which is a benefit due to the 8’+/- high/low tide swings.
