While walking down the beach, I came upon a lobster pot that had washed up on to the beach next to an area closed sign for endangered species (Piping Plovers). The lobster pot came up on the beach at a very high tide water mark during last winter. The lobster pot would be too awkward and heavy to bring it back to a car as it was approximately 1 1/2 miles from the entrance to the beach and a boat wouldn’t be able to get too close to the shore to pick it up.
