The Great Egret is quite a distinctive bird with bright white foliage. The bird is very difficult to photograph at close range and it is very helpful if you have a blind or just happen to be at the right place when the bird lands. The bird is spooked very easily and the outcome will be that the bird will fly away and you will end up with no photographs and just a memory of that experience. Photographing birds at unusual angles does help with the composition of your photograph. And many times, you will only get a few photograph opportunities, so click away rapidly and hope that one of your photos is a keeper.
