I use the Navionics Navigation GPS App for Sea Kayaking if I am going to be offshore for long distances. The route that is shown on the Navionics App was a 12+ mile route and the initial leg was about 2 miles off shore to a sunken ship. The second leg went to a submerged island that comes out during low tide so I had to time the tides so I could land on the island and at the same time launch from the island with enough water to paddle out.

The App takes into consideration tides, winds, etc. It is a great App for all types of boating that you need a GPS for. Always still have a backup plan just in case your cell phone or App gives you trouble. I have a compass and waterproof maps to backup my paddling at all times.

Just what I needed for my sea kayaking as there were always too many apps to try to figure out which one was the best. I'm going to download it now and give it a try. Thanks.
Photography is on my plate each day when I wake up early in the AM. An early start to the day gets the photo.
