The kayak rack is a lottery system for all kayaks stored near the launch. Each year it becomes harder and harder to obtain a place on the racks due to the em Mende popularity of kayaking.

The protected Wellfleet, MA harbor is a great place to launch and land with your ocean kayak. You can paddle out to Great Island while still being in the harbor. Get there early as the parking fills up during the summer months. Happy Paddling!
