The clouds certainly give the illusion of a burning tree during this sunny morning. All the elements in the photograph screamed for a black & white photograph. :thumbsup:

This was a very dramatic photographer’s moment when the intensity of the scenery matched the photographer’s intensity. All the lines in the photograph including the sky, the dunes, the coastline, the photographer’s stance and even the big rock adds interest to this photograph.

The 2 giant rock walls for rock climbing look like 2 owls… twin owls. It was the start climbing home base for the famous climber Tommy Caldwell. :thumbup:

Nothing like an old, broken split sail fence in front of a mountain. The split rail fence always seems to bring character into the photograph and the mountain only enhances the view. It screams black & white. :#critique:

The dock was very interesting with the sky at this angle as all the other possible locations turned out to be a terrible photograph. That’s what you have to do sometimes. Just move a few feet left or right or just walk to another spot. You might just be pleasantly surprised on...

Not often you get a spectacular morning with the tide exactly the way you would like it to be with no one on the beach for miles. And that’s when a photographer gets the opportunity to photograph another photographer at a distance. :#critique:

What is street photography without having the beat of shoes on the street! And without shoes, there is no beat on the street! You never know when and where an unusual photo opportunity may appear. Just keeping your mind open, always looking around and a photo op may be right...

This single tree has a three dimensional look as it seems to jump right out of the photograph. The darker trees in the background help to make this type of look.
