The only way to protect sand dunes newly planted with grass is to add a fence around the dunes. The fence protects the sand from being blown away and also protects the dunes from people walking across on the dunes.

This huge glacier rock was left in a kettle pond when the glaciers receded from Cape Cod. This glacier rock is located in Cliff Pond, Nickerson State Park MA.

The tree that stood for hundreds of years came tumbling down during a high wind disturbance. There must have been very high winds numerous times during that time, but now the winds must be even stronger.
