Choosing the right photo paper for printing is one of the most important factors in producing great prints. Be it pictures or text, you usually just borrow what's in
the copier. But the right printer photo paper makes an immense difference in print quality. To make the right choice, we must know the basics of selecting and printing
on paper for general use and pictures.

A YEAR AROUND THE WORLD
Text & Photographs By Jack Zuzack

Imagine sitting on a cliff top and looking below you and seeing a flash in the sunlight. You wonder what could make that flash, and so you whip out your zoom binoculars.
With the zoom binoculars, you are able to zoom right in and see that it was just a weird rock formation. This wouldn't have been possible with just regular binoculars. But with a zoom, you can adjust the settings, so that you have a much higher magnification level or just a
regular magnification level (by regular I mean probably somewhere around 8X).

With jobs that offer too little vacation time to satisfy our lust for travel and outdoor adventure, there was only one thing for my wife and me to do: Quit and travel the world!
We pre-arranged international flights, but little else. Our year-long travel itinerary was so diverse that constant culture shock was certain. Using a portable CD burner we periodically sent home batches of our 11,000 photos.

MEDIUM FORMAT PHOTOGRAPHY

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

The Medium Format & Large Format photographic equipment can be somewhat of an extreme transition for all of us who started out with the very basic point and shoots, or the advanced
amateurs who picked up 35mm as their standard platform initially. Just the terms alone can lose some of the best in each category discussing the various techniques associated with one platform or format to the other, never mind the costs associated with film and hardware differences. I have used and still use all three formats.

If you are naive, passionate, and want to do something exclusive, if you'd like to consider photography as something more than just a creative outlet or a hobby you may be on your way to discovering a new
career path, the one that would lead you the success and top profiles. This is not to say that becoming a photographer is easy, nor is it to say that all the people who want to become professional photographers will attain their goal.

HOW TO CHOOSE A FIRST AID KIT

THE SMELLS OF THE OPEN ROAD
Text & Photographs By Becky Wolfe

|
A first aid kit should always be carried with you even if you are just going on a day hike or a day paddle. You never know what can happen and a basic first aid kit will solve most minor bee sting, cut, headache,
etc. Having your first aid with you can make a potentially ruined day into an enjoyable day. As the old saying goes "Be prepared". Always make sure there is enough first aid treatments based on the number of people going with you.

Sage Brush! Sweet White Clover! Fresh Baled Hay! So often in the summer, road trips comprise of long drives in the car with the windows rolled up & and air conditioning on. We cruise from destination to
destination this way and enjoy the scenery along the way. Its not until we take the motorbike out for a drive that I realize how much I'm missing by being in a tightly sealed car: the smells of the open road!
